The millionaire mindset
By Arthur Webster of Ask Old Coot
You've seen the ads and read the publicity blurb so now you want to acquire the millionaire mind set. I'm really sorry for you if you believe that there is such a thing and I can only wonder at the sheer power that non-millionaire marketers have to make otherwise sane people adopt that belief. Why do you want to think like a millionaire? Are you so lacking in self confidence that you have to try to kid yourself that you are not who you think you are? Does it not strike you as strange that the vast majority of people who are trying to sell you a book that is supposed to teach you how to think like a millionaire are probably no more wealthy than you are? Richard Branson is a multi millionaire but I'm prepared to bet that he still thinks like the barrow boy that he once was. He didn't get as rich as he is by thinking like a millionaire - he got there because he thought like an above average barrow boy and saw the deals that other barrow boys missed. He has a native intelligence that enables him to grab opportunity when he sees it and then to stick like glue until he makes it work. It really does not make sense that, having achieved millionaire status, he should suddenly become someone other than himself. Why does it seem so important to some people that you think like a millionaire? Why do you suppose they spend so much time and energy telling you that the way to great riches is to think like a millionaire? More importantly - why should you not believe a word that they say? I'll tell you. It is important to some people that you think like a millionaire because they want to sell you a book about how to think like a millionaire. They spend so much time and energy telling you that the way to great riches is to think like a millionaire because they hope that they will become millionaires by relieving enough of you of some of your hard earned cash. You should not believe a word they say because thinking like a millionaire is ABSOLUTELY POINTLESS! You need to think like the millionaire thought BEFORE HE BECAME ONE! You need to be like Richard Branson and think like a superior barrow boy. You need to learn how to spot (and grab) opportunities as they arise. You need to stop other people feeding you with doubts! Incidentally, fifteen years ago I was a paper millionaire and it didn't affect the way I thought. I was still the same shop-keeper/accountant that I had been for most of my life - I just had more available money and a lot more capital assets. Millionaires do not think like millionaires. They think like the people that they really are (unless, of course, they have always been millionaires, in which case some of their early conditioning will have made the imagery of not having enough money difficult to create). |

I think that you are right about this. It's an important distinction.
I hope "newbies on the Internet" find this article. The only programs that make money are the 'originators of the program' ~~~ in affiliate marketing; affiliates still have to invest to promote some one else's program. I have been in affilation with several promotion programs in the past five years and some are still ongoing ( not making money for affiliates ) some still have potential ( programs that have been marketed for more than 10 years ) and some popular programs are diminishing in popularity for they skewed from their core mission.
