Mobile what? By Arthur Webster Have you got a mobile phone? Does it scare you? I'll be honest. I've got two mobiles and I seldom use them. Occasionally someone will call me but if they call me on the wrong mobile, I will invariably cut them off. Why? Because I still don't know how to answer the flaming thing! I look around me at all the young people having love affairs with their mobiles while I have difficulty simply keeping them switched on. The mobiles I have are not expensive but they have more functions than my hi-fi. I can listen to the radio. I can listen to MP3s. I can play games. I can record messages. I can store information. I can set up any number of alarms. I can make complicated calculations. I can take photographs. I can make movies. I can surf the internet. I can read my emails. I can receive and send text messages. Oh Yes. I can also receive and make telephone calls. I know I am getting old, but is it so wrong of me to want a mobile phone that simply makes and receives calls? Is it so wrong to want something that I can operate without the assistance of a six year old (who knows how to operate everything)?
