Advertise, do you?

By Arthur Webster of Ask Old Coot

Do you spend money on advertising? Are you convinced by the media you use that your advertising produces results?

Sorry, but it's time to get real!

Or are you too scared to examine your advertising habit?

Advertising is a bitch! You are faced with fantastic publicity offers from all angles by telemarketers, emails and door to door salesmen all hours of the day!

Why? Have you ever wondered?

It is because it is only the advertising that keeps any publication going. Very few publications would survive if advertising revenue dried up.

The vast majority of advertisers have no advertising plan - only an advertising budget.

The vast majority of advertisers have no idea of the efficacy of their advertising dollar.

The vast majority of advertisers are not happy with the results that they get from their advertising.

The majority of advertisers don't even know what results they are getting.

Aren't they some sad bits of information?

Advertisers, it's time to gird your loins and take the next step on the evolutionary road to effective advertising.

You need to cut your advertising costs.

You need to increase your advertising reach to your target market.

You need to diversify the media that you use after you have brought your senseless spending under control.

You need to tell your target audience when you launch a new campaign.

You need to ally yourself with the big names in the world of wealth. People like Peter Stringfellow, Jensen, Bently, Stanley Gibbons and so on - once you have brought your senseless spending under control.

IT'S TIME TO STOP DOING WHAT YOU HAVE ALWAYS DONE!

It's time to grab the world by the throat and squeeze - simply for the sense of empowerment that it gives you.

It's time to grow up, economise and swim with the big fish.

Don't be a bottom feeder all your life! Swim towards the light!

Look at what your advertising spend buys you and then seek professional advice.

I am not truly independent so I will not hold myself up as an authority figure BUT - if you spend more than $100 a week on advertising, you could probably save at least half of that ($2,600 a year) AND increase your sales by changing the way that you do what you do. Isn't that worth sitting down for a while and giving a bit of thought to the following question:-

"Where will I find people actively looking to buy what I am selling?"

Answer that and you will be amazed to find that you weren't aware of what you knew!

The content of most ads do not focus on the price, quality, or usefulness of the product. The ads are designed "to create emotional involvement."

This may be true but - if no-one reads them, does it make any difference?

this is a wake up call!

Absolutely!

Sounds like you have some expertise here. More info on "how to" would be helpful.

Hi, Larry,
I have been sharing my 'how to' with people for over a year in the form of a 16,000 page ebook.
What I teach is so simple, nobody believes it works and yet they are too scared to try it in case it does.
My ebook is more designed to create an income opportunity and, since my health and my sight have let me down, it is so frustrating to know that I can show how to provide an income of $,000s to anybody who is prepared to ask a business owner - "Would you like me to show you how to cut your costs and probably find more cash customers?"

I need money myself now and am looking for a way to sell my ebook but I think I have left it too late - you see, I don't believe in hype and I did not believe that people would fail to try something simply because it was so easy and 'not really internet marketing'.
